Silverbulletday

The Silverbulletday Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race run at Fair Grounds Race Course each year. The Grade III event is open to fillies, age three, willing to race 1 1/16 miles on the dirt and carries a purse of $200,000.

This race is considered a prep for the Fair Grounds Oaks, itself a prep for the Kentucky Oaks. It is named for Silverbulletday, the American champion 2-year-old filly in 1998 and champion 3-year-old filly in 1999.
