Las Virgenes GI
The Las Virgenes Stakes is a race for thoroughbred fillies. A Grade I event, it's raced each February at Santa Anita Park and offers a purse of $250,000 for eligible three-year-olds. The Las Virgenes is run at a distance of one mile on the cushion surface and is considered a prep for the Santa Anita Oaks, itself a prep for the Kentucky Oaks.
