The Santa Ynez Stakes is run at Santa Anita Park. The race is open to fillies, age three, going seven furlongs on the cushion track. A Grade II event, it carries a purse of $150,000 and is considered a prep to the Kentucky Oaks.
Susan's Girl won this race in 1972. Serena's Song won it in 1995.
