Trainer: Kiaran McLaughlin

A native of Lexington, Kentucky, McLaughlin now resides in Garden City, New York - the state where his core operation is based much of the year. Married with a son and daughter, McLaughlin trains the American fleet of runners from the Darley/Godolphin operation. His top clients include Dubai natives Sheikh Mohammed al Maktoum of Darley Stable, his brother Sheikh Hamdan al Maktoum and prominent local businessman Ahmed al Tayer, along with top American-based syndicate West Point Thoroughbreds. McLaughlin's most notable tutelage came from the long and rich line of assistants for the powerful D. Wayne Lukas stable. He has campaigned such graded stakes winners as Dumaani, Intidab, Seattle Fitz, Randaroo, and Mustanfar. McLaughlin has saddled three Derby starters: Closing Argument (2nd in 2005), Jazil & Flashy Bull (4th & 14th respectively in 2006).
Jockey: Rajiv Maragh

Rajiv Maragh is a second generation horseman. His father, COllin, was a jockey in his native country of Jamaica and later began training in South Florida. Rajiv began galloping horses for his father after earning his high school diploma and would get his first competitive mount from his father. Racing Hall of Fame jockey Angel Cordero signed on as his agent and took him to Monmouth Park in New Jersey where his career took hold. He is said to be well versed with pedigrees and to possess an excellent memory while being very personable.

Darley is owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum of the United Arab Emirates. He purchased his first racehorse in 1976 and was the leading owner in England every year from 1985 to 1999 except for 1990 and 1995. Typically the first string of the Maktoum family's racing stock campaigns in the colors of Godolphin's royal blue silks. Darley operates an extensive racing and breeding operation across the world.
