Tim Salzman was born on August 29, 1971 in Laurel, MD.  He currently resides in Sykesville, MD.  he took over his father John Salzman's racing stable in 2003 and scored his first victory with Sharp Halo at Laurel Park that year.  He had a banner year in 2007 when he won a pair of stakes races with Bsharpsonata and finished in the money 9 of ten starts with Southwestern Heat, the first foal out

Eric Camacho was born on November 9, 1983 in Baltimore, MD.  He currently resides in Odenton, MD, with his wife Lisa.  Camacho captured the 2005 Laurel Park winter riding title over Ramon Dominguez.  In 2007 he won stakes on Bsharpsonata (Selima Stakes) and Southwestern Heat (Sonny Hine).  He won 57 races and over $1.3 million last year.

Pedigree Analysis

Bsharpsonata is a daughter of Pulpit, the 1997 Blue Grass S. (G2) winner who led the Kentucky Derby (G1) field before fading to finish fourth behind Silver Charm. A son of Horse of the Year and multiple leading sire A.P. Indy (who is by 1977 Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew), Pulpit is the sire of more than 30 stakes winners, including several promising three-year-olds of the past such as Purge, Tapit, Essence of Dubai and Sky Mesa.
