Pedigree Analysis

Ariege is by Doneraile Court, whose racing career highlights came through wins in the Nashua S. (G3) as a two-year-old and the Jerome H. (G2) the following year. By Seattle Slew and out of the Grade 1-placed Sophisticated Girl (Stop the Music), Doneraile Court was retired to stud after his three-year-old season with six wins from 16 tries and looked to have a bright future as a stallion when Ruler's Court, from his first crop, scored an impressive 14-length triumph in the Norfolk S. (G2).
