Can I get an encore?

For me, one of the most indelible images of Derby Week 2007 was that of Garrett Gomez raising his whip in victory aboard Rags to Riches as she crossed the wire in the Kentucky Oaks. Perhaps that image was made more special by her actual performance in the Oaks and then in the Belmont five weeks later. Either way, Rags to Riches was every bit as big a part of Derby Week as her male counterpart, Street Sense.

So, will this year’s Oaks produce a story of similar magnitude?
