Early nominations to the 133rd running of the Kentucky Oaks ("Oaks") and the 21st running of the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic ("Woodford") will close at midnight (EST) on Saturday, Feb. 17.

A fee of $100 is required to make a 3-year-old Thoroughbred filly eligible to compete in the $500,000 Oaks (Grade I) at Churchill Downs on Friday, May 4; and similarly, a fee of $100 is required to make a 3-year-old and upwards Thoroughbred eligible to compete in the $500,000 Woodford (Grade I) at Churchill Downs on Saturday, May 5.

Owners and trainers may nominate their horses by contacting Churchill Downs racing at (502) 636-4470 or by fax at (502) 636-4598. Nomination blanks for faxing are available at the links listed at the bottom of this article.

Horses that were not made eligible by the nomination deadline may still be made supplemental entries to either race by the time of entry (May 1, 2007 for the Oaks, and May 2, 2007 for the Woodford), but that would require a supplemental fee of $25,000 for each entrant, paid at the time of entry.
