EAST/BOCA GRANDE LOOKS TO REBOUND IN AQUEDUCT'S COMELY - Phipps Stable's Boca Grande will attempt to bounce back from disappointing run in her season debut when she faces eight rivals in Saturday's $150,000 Comely (GII) at Aqueduct.

The daughter of A.P. Indy had the look of a future star when she won the Demoiselle (GII) last fall at Aqueduct, but she finished sixth in a field of seven in the seven-furlong Forward Gal at Gulfstream Park in her only start since that race. Jockey Mike Smith will ride Boca Grande in the one-mile Comely.

Other contenders in the Comely include Fee Fi Fo Fum, third in the Forward Gal in just her second career start; Perfect Forest, who is unbeaten in two starts this year for trainer Todd Pletcher; and Desire to Excel, who won the Astoria at two.

MIDWEST/MATZ'S STREET SOUNDS WINS STONERSIDE BEAUMONT - Hidden Creek Farm's Street Sounds, making her first start since November for trainer Michael Matz, turned back previously unbeaten Forever Together by a neck to win Thursday's $250,000 Stonerside Beaumont Stakes (GII) at Keeneland.

Jockey Edgar Prado was in the saddle as the daughter of Street Cry covered the distance of about seven furlongs over Polytrack in 1:24.93. Longshot Palace Pier, at 33-1, finished third, 1 ¾-lengths back of the top pair in the field that was reduced to seven when Pro Pink was scratched.

Street Sounds, who won Laurel's Selima on turf at two, is nominated to the Kentucky Oaks, but Stonerside Beaumont runner-up Forever Together is not.

WEST/HOLLENDORFER SENDS QUARTET INTO BAY MEADOWS BREEDERS' CUP OAKS - Northern California training king Jerry Hollendorfer will saddle four fillies in Saturday's $100,000 Bay Meadows Breeders' Cup Oaks at Bay Meadows.
The quickly improving Eastland Avenue heads Hollendorfer's quartet of 3-year-old fillies. She took the California Oaks in her last start, her third straight victory since she joined Hollendorfer's barn. Her first victory came in a $7,500 claiming race at Emerald Downs.

Other Hollendorfer trainees include Glorification, runner-up in the California Oaks; Round Trip Flight, a winner of two of three races since she stretched out to Saturday's one-mile distance, and Jungle Girl, a winner in a $75,000 maiden claiming race last time out.

Also in the race is the Peter Miller-trained Pinata, who returns from a 6 ½-month layoff. She won the Landaluce at Hollywood Park at two.
