Lucy Bassett's three-year-old homebred daughter of OUT OF PLACE, MEDITATIONS, suffered a career ending fracture of her left front cannon bone in The Davona Dale Stakes on Saturday afternoon at Gulfstream Park. She'll undergo surgery at Dr. John Madison's clinic in Ocala, Florida to insert screws in the leg to aid in the healing process. This injury is not life threatening and her prognosis for recovery is good. We wish her luck and hopefully continued success as a broodmare.
