The betting public "honed in" on DREAMING OF ANNA and AUDACIOUS CHLOE respectively and for the most part were correct. DREAMING OF ANNA stalked the pacesetting FANLIGHT FANNY into the final turn and then made her bid for the wire. While all this was taking place, AUDACIOUS CHLOE, with John Velazquez aboard, was receiving the perfect trip behind and then outside the top pair. The two "fancied" fillies put on a match race through the stretch while drawing away from their six rivals. In the end, AUDACIOUS CHLOE displayed a bit more resolve in grinding out a narrow decision. I would expect to see these top two fillies line up against one another in the future.
