Another Lemons Forever lurking somewhere ?

Thursday, March 08, 2007

As the second of the Oaks future pools is now underway with Rags To Riches a short priced favorite ,I 'm looking for a filly who may fly under the radar. At this point on the campaign for the race for the lillies , Rags To Riches appears to be a standout but may be at a slight disadvantage with her limited racing experience. It seems to me as though the rest of the fillies out there at this point in time are a bit weak on the numbers as we head inside the final 8 weeks until the Kentucky Oaks. This weekend's stakes from west to south to east may sort out some of the contenders. Christmas Kid looks to stay on a roll in Florida and Appealing Zophie tries to go back to back in Louisiana and Rags to Riches is a virtual lock in California. Up until the big upset by Lemons Forever in last year's Oaks, the race had usually produced fairly formful results with obvious contenders winning.

Authobahn Girl did not earn a big number, nor did she beat a stellar group of fillies in her Suncoast Stakes win, but something about the way she ran that caught my eye. She has the pedigree to be a good one as well as a win at Churchill to her advantage. At the close of the second future pool wagering after the major three year old filly races are run this weekend, I am looking for another Lemons Forever and hoping to find some value in Autobahn Girl.

Jill you have a very good eye I think that the filly to beat is this one but to go inim this race she must be graded before cause she is not at this moment and only if she run at Gulfstream will have the chance to go in.
