Kentucky Oaks 130 Headlines:
By: Oaks Notes Team

A.P. ADVENTURE - Bob and Beverly Lewis' Grade I winner A.P. Adventure galloped a mile and a half under exercise rider Rhett Fincher. "She got here Monday afternoon and then jogged Tuesday morning," said Aimee Dollase, assistant to father Wally Dollase. "She will work probably Friday or Saturday." Wally Dollase is scheduled to arrive in Louisville on Thursday afternoon.

Mike Smith has the call on A.P. Adventure for the Oaks.

HALFBRIDLED - Wertheimer Farm's Eclipse Award winning Halfbridled galloped a mile and a half before the renovation break under exercise rider Paul Nilluang. Trainer Richard Mandella said Halfbridled would likely breeze Thursday morning, depending on track condition.

HOUSE OF FORTUNE - Trainer Ron McAnally said that Shane Sellers will ride Fantasy Stakes (GII) winner House of Fortune in the Kentucky Oaks. McAnally said the filly would breeze at Hollywood Park on Friday and then ship to Louisville on Monday.

ISLAND SAND - Trainer Larry Jones said that Fantasy (GII) runner-up Island Sand would ship to Churchill Downs from Ellis Park on Thursday afternoon and work five furlongs Friday morning under Justin Shepherd.

Terry Thompson, who rode Island Sand for the first time in the Fantasy, has the call for the Oaks.

LAST SONG - Buckram Oak Farm's Last Song, winner of the Bonnie Miss (GII), returned to the track on Wednesday for the first time since a strong five-furlong work over the Churchill Downs racing strip on Sunday. The daughter of Unbridled's Song galloped 1 ¼-miles under exercise rider Peter Gulyas.

MADCAP ESCAPADE - Bruce Lunsford's unbeaten Madcap Escapade, winner of the Ashland (GI) at Keeneland, galloped on Wednesday under exercise rider Lisa Sloan as she continued her preparation for the 130th Kentucky Oaks (GI).

After the daughter of Hennessy was safely back in her stall, Brothers turned his attention to the Weather Channel and a forecast that calls for rain over the next few days in Louisville. Brothers is hoping that Madcap Escapade can turn in her final pre-Oaks work on Friday or Saturday, but he indicated that there is a slight chance that the work could be shifted back to Thursday morning. That decision would be determined by Thursday's track condition and the weather forecast.
